Competed in my very first ArtStation challenge! I came in pretty late to the game but was somehow able to get everything finished and submitted in time. There are a lot of things I see I would want to change but I'm still quite proud with how the characters came to be. Working under a 12-day time limit gave me a lot of insight on my own process and how to streamline as much as possible. So overall I'm pleased with the outcome and thankful I got to participate in such a great community event.
The story behind my concept, 'The Most Dangerous Western', was inspired by the classic short story by Richard Connell. The story is set in Garmine City, now taken hostage by the tyrant who calls herself "Sheriff". After killing off the local law and Garmine's mayor, the Sheriff imposes her single law: "Defeat me." Those that fail to follow her law are executed. However, Garmine City doesn't seem to be as easy a target as the other towns previously taken over by the Sheriff.
